The Barakah Schedule
Take it at Isha.
الفجر Fajr FAJ-r
The hardest of the five to keep, and the one nobody sees you keep. Before the world asks anything of you, you answer something else first.
… and the recitation at dawn. Indeed, the recitation at dawn is ever witnessed.
Qur’an 17:78
- An empty stomach, and cortisol already climbing. Nothing yet competes with what you take.
الظهر Dhuhr ZUH-r
The sun at its highest, work at its loudest. A deliberate interruption — stepping out of the day’s business to remember what the day is for.
When the call is made for prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off trade.
Qur’an 62:9
- This is where the food is. What needs a meal to be absorbed belongs beside one.
العصر Asr AH-sr
The light is going, and you can feel it going. Of the five this is the one most warned about losing, an hour built to remind you that time runs out quietly.
By time — indeed, mankind is in loss.
Qur’an 103:1–2
- The hours before training, and the dip before evening. Timing matters less here than turning up — an anchor, not a trick.
المغرب Maghrib MAG-rib
The narrowest window of the five: pray it now, or it is gone. The day handed back with thanks, before the last light goes with it.
So glory be to God when you reach the evening, and when you reach the morning.
Qur’an 30:17
- By now the day is written on your skin: sun, heat, city air. This is when it gets read back and undone.
العشاء Isha ISH-aa
The day’s last account, made in the dark. Everything done and left undone is set down before sleep takes it.
And it is He who made the night for you as a covering, and sleep for rest.
Qur’an 25:47
- Magnesium sits at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule — it is what makes plants green.
- Bound to glycine, not oxide, which is why it does not upset the stomach.
- Glycine is itself an inhibitory neurotransmitter: the body's own brake.
Dawn, midday, late afternoon, sunset, night — a rhythm well over a billion people already keep. You don’t have to pray to use it. Verses are rendered meanings, not literal translation. How the schedule works
Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium glycinate is magnesium bound to glycine. That pairing is the point: it absorbs well and it is gentle, which is why it is the form people actually stay on.
Is magnesium glycinate halal?
Magnesium is a mineral, so the mineral itself is never the issue. Two things are worth checking on any magnesium supplement, and most brands will tell you neither. First the capsule — gelatin capsules are usually bovine or porcine. Ours is hypromellose, a plant cellulose. Second, magnesium stearate, which can come from vegetable or animal fat. We have asked our manufacturer to confirm the source and will publish it here.
No gelatin. No pork derivatives. No alcohol. The full list is below — read it.
What is in it
- 275 mg elemental magnesium, from 2,500 mg magnesium glycinate
- Hypromellose (plant cellulose) capsule
- 90 capsules — a 30-day supply at three per day
When to take it
The isha window. Magnesium is not a sedative and will not knock you out; it supports the nervous system winding down, which is a different and better thing.
