The Barakah Schedule
Take it at Dhuhr.
الفجر Fajr FAJ-r
The hardest of the five to keep, and the one nobody sees you keep. Before the world asks anything of you, you answer something else first.
… and the recitation at dawn. Indeed, the recitation at dawn is ever witnessed.
Qur’an 17:78
- An empty stomach, and cortisol already climbing. Nothing yet competes with what you take.
الظهر Dhuhr ZUH-r
The sun at its highest, work at its loudest. A deliberate interruption — stepping out of the day’s business to remember what the day is for.
When the call is made for prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off trade.
Qur’an 62:9
- Pea and rice are blended because neither carries the full amino acid spread alone.
- Together they cover each other's gaps almost exactly.
- Midday, with food, is when the body is already absorbing.
العصر Asr AH-sr
The light is going, and you can feel it going. Of the five this is the one most warned about losing, an hour built to remind you that time runs out quietly.
By time — indeed, mankind is in loss.
Qur’an 103:1–2
- The hours before training, and the dip before evening. Timing matters less here than turning up — an anchor, not a trick.
المغرب Maghrib MAG-rib
The narrowest window of the five: pray it now, or it is gone. The day handed back with thanks, before the last light goes with it.
So glory be to God when you reach the evening, and when you reach the morning.
Qur’an 30:17
- By now the day is written on your skin: sun, heat, city air. This is when it gets read back and undone.
العشاء Isha ISH-aa
The day’s last account, made in the dark. Everything done and left undone is set down before sleep takes it.
And it is He who made the night for you as a covering, and sleep for rest.
Qur’an 25:47
- Repair runs on the night shift. Light-sensitive actives can finally work, and sleep is the whole point.
Dawn, midday, late afternoon, sunset, night — a rhythm well over a billion people already keep. You don’t have to pray to use it. Verses are rendered meanings, not literal translation. How the schedule works
Plant Protein (Vanilla)
Twenty grams of complete plant protein from fava bean isolate and fermented nutritional yeast. Vanilla. 110 calories. No dairy, no soy, no gluten.
Is plant protein halal?
This is the one category where being plant-based settles most of the question, and it is worth understanding why. Whey protein is the usual problem for Muslim buyers: whey is a dairy by-product of cheesemaking, and cheese is often made with animal rennet — frequently porcine. That is why so much whey on the market cannot be verified as halal, no matter how clean the label looks.
A fava bean and yeast protein sidesteps that entirely. There is no dairy, so there is no rennet, so there is no question. Sweetened with stevia leaf rather than sugar or sucralose. No gelatin, no pork derivatives.

We have asked our manufacturer to confirm the carrier used here in writing, and that answer is outstanding as of August 2026. We would rather tell you that than let you assume. Every unresolved sourcing question is published, with the date we asked, at ingredients.
