The Barakah Schedule
Take it at Isha.
الفجر Fajr FAJ-r
The hardest of the five to keep, and the one nobody sees you keep. Before the world asks anything of you, you answer something else first.
… and the recitation at dawn. Indeed, the recitation at dawn is ever witnessed.
Qur’an 17:78
- An empty stomach, and cortisol already climbing. Nothing yet competes with what you take.
الظهر Dhuhr ZUH-r
The sun at its highest, work at its loudest. A deliberate interruption — stepping out of the day’s business to remember what the day is for.
When the call is made for prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off trade.
Qur’an 62:9
- This is where the food is. What needs a meal to be absorbed belongs beside one.
العصر Asr AH-sr
The light is going, and you can feel it going. Of the five this is the one most warned about losing, an hour built to remind you that time runs out quietly.
By time — indeed, mankind is in loss.
Qur’an 103:1–2
- The hours before training, and the dip before evening. Timing matters less here than turning up — an anchor, not a trick.
المغرب Maghrib MAG-rib
The narrowest window of the five: pray it now, or it is gone. The day handed back with thanks, before the last light goes with it.
So glory be to God when you reach the evening, and when you reach the morning.
Qur’an 30:17
- By now the day is written on your skin: sun, heat, city air. This is when it gets read back and undone.
العشاء Isha ISH-aa
The day’s last account, made in the dark. Everything done and left undone is set down before sleep takes it.
And it is He who made the night for you as a covering, and sleep for rest.
Qur’an 25:47
- Mostly glycoproteins and hyaluronic acid.
- It reached the West through Korean skincare, not advertising.
- Night gives it hours to sit undisturbed.
Dawn, midday, late afternoon, sunset, night — a rhythm well over a billion people already keep. You don’t have to pray to use it. Verses are rendered meanings, not literal translation. How the schedule works
Snail Mucin Face Serum

Snail secretion filtrate with hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, Centella asiatica and provitamin B5. Lightweight, fast-absorbing, no residue. Three to four drops to face and neck after cleansing.
Yes. A snail made this.
It crawled, it left a trail, and somebody in Korea worked out that the trail is mostly glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid and glycosaminoglycans — the long way of saying it holds water against your skin better than most things sold in a bottle.
If you have wondered whether that is allowed, the answer is more interesting than either yes or no.
Eating and applying are two different questions
Scholars do differ on eating land snails. Mālik permitted them. Abū Ḥanīfa and Aḥmad did not. That disagreement is old and it is real.
But it is a disagreement about food. In Islamic law, \"impermissible to eat\" and \"impure to touch\" are two separate categories, and the first does not automatically produce the second. A serum is not a meal. The ruling on eating a thing does not simply transfer to putting it on your face.
That distinction is the single most useful thing to understand about halal beauty, and almost nobody selling skincare will explain it to you — including, we would guess, whoever sold you your last bottle of snail mucin.
What is actually still open on this bottle
Not the snail. Two other things.
Hydrolyzed collagen. Collagen always comes from an animal — the open question is which one. Bovine, porcine and marine are all common. We have asked our manufacturer in writing and have not been told. This is the real reason this bottle does not carry our halal standard.
Silicones. Dimethicone crosspolymer and amodimethicone, which are a large part of why it feels this smooth. They also form a light water-repellent film, which is a wuḍū' question rather than an ingredient question. Every other formula in the Nūr line excludes them for exactly that reason. If you are applying this before prayer, that is worth knowing.
So: the snail is not the problem. The collagen we cannot yet trace is. When we get that answer, it goes on our ingredients page with the date, whichever way it lands.
