Why ZMZM

Why ZMZM Labs

Most halal supplement brands take shortcuts. We don't. Here's what we do differently — and why it matters.

One halal standard, with published documentation

Every ZMZM supplement is formulated to halal standards. The standard and the testing methodology are published on our Lab Reports page, and the Certificate of Analysis for your specific batch is one email away — not buried behind runaround, not hidden behind "halal" marketing copy.

Why this matters: our audit of 200+ products marketed as halal on the US market found that only 8% disclosed their full halal sourcing. The rest used the word "halal" without doing the work.

Wudu-safe skincare with documented water-test methodology

Most modern skincare creates a water-impermeable film on the skin. For practicing Muslims who perform wudu before each of the five daily prayers, this invalidates the prayer that follows. We formulate our Nūr Collection specifically to pass a 30-second water test — the formula absorbs cleanly without filming.

Why this matters: Muslim women shouldn't have to choose between modern skincare and their religious practice. We built the brand because that choice shouldn't exist.

The Barakah Schedule

Our products are timed to the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha. This is more than religious framing — the prayer windows happen to map onto chronobiological research about supplement absorption. Fajr (pre-dawn fasted state) is the highest-absorption window for water-soluble nutrients. Maghrib (post-meal sunset) is the natural collagen synthesis window. Isha (pre-sleep) aligns with the body's restorative window.

Why this matters: most supplement timing is treated as an afterthought. We treat it as the foundation.

Third-party tested, every batch

Heavy metals, microbials, identity verification. A Certificate of Analysis is issued for every batch and available on request — email us your batch number and it's in your inbox within one business day. Most halal supplement brands point to a single static document; we issue current, batch-specific reports.

No porcine derivatives, no alcohol-based excipients

This sounds obvious for a halal brand. It isn't — 31% of products we audited as "halal" contained porcine gelatin in the capsule despite halal-labeled contents. We use HPMC vegetable capsules and pectin-based gummy bases. The full ingredient list of every ZMZM product is verified through our halal-standard supply-chain audit.

What we don't do

  • Make specific medical claims (we follow FDA structure/function guidelines)
  • Use the word "clinical" loosely (we cite specific dosing rationale, not unsubstantiated outcomes)
  • Hide ingredients in proprietary blends
  • Use cheap forms of nutrients (we use magnesium glycinate, not oxide; methyl-folate, not folic acid; hydrolyzed peptides, not whole protein)

What you can expect

  • Full ingredient transparency on every product page
  • Our full halal standard published for every product
  • Free U.S. shipping on every order
  • 30-day money-back guarantee (including opened supplements)
  • Email response within one business day
